This year’s Christmas colorway is inspired by the squabbling brothers in the classic Christmas movie, “The Year Without a Santa Claus”.
We will be dyeing a Heat Miser-themed “warm” colorway and a Snow Miser-themed “cool” colorway inspired by the clothing worn by the characters in the movie. There will be gradients, stripes, and some splashes of color involved. Colorway repeat will happen one time per skein.
Yarn will be dyed on Octoply (DK 100% Superwash Merino) and will be used in our Twelve Days Knit Along (more info below).
But wait... Colorways are also dyed as a Fingering Weight 100g Sock Set! Buy a Heat set or a Snow set, or you can get a mixed set of 1 each Heat and Snow! These will make some fun socks or other items.
“I’m Too Much” Knit Along
Twelve Days Knit Along Details:
We have created a mosaic knitted cowl pattern that will use 2 skeins of DK yarn, one each of Heat and Snow. But the pattern will work great with 1 skein of Heat or Snow, and adding in a solid coordinate to one of the colorways.
What will you need for the Along? 2 skeins of DK yarn...
A mixed set of Heat and Snow -or- 1 skein of Heat or Snow and 1 coordinate skein
When will be pattern be available? Pattern will be released online after yarn ships in mid-December. Make sure to follow along for updates. There will be 12 days of knitting with a motif worked each day. We will release the pattern in separate parts if you want to keep the pattern more of a mystery for yourself, but we’ll also release the pattern in full at the beginning if you just can’t wait.
When does the Knit Along start? Cast on begins December 25th and runs for the Twelve Days of Christmas until January 6th. How do I join?
